The shipping date for the iPhone 5 is likely to be September. According to Reuters, suppliers of Apple will begin production of the iPhone 5 in July this year, with the shipping to begin September 2011.
The next generation iPhone is likely to have a Dual-Core A5 processor, which was introduced to the iPad 2 earlier this year. The physical design is more than likely to remain identical to that of the iPhone 4 and the screen size will probably stay the same. Which is a shame, as Android powered phones like: HTC, Sony Ericsson and Samsung have an average screen size of
4-inches. It seems that Apple will follow the same trend as they did in 2009 when the iPhone 3GS was announced, which was mainly an "under the hood" upgrade with a faster processor, better camera and more functional features. There were no changes to the outer design.
The iPhone 5 will probably have higher resolution cameras to at least keep up with the Android powered smart phones. This time around Apple should have both Black and White colored iPhones ready to ship from day one.
