Apple has announced that the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place from the 6th - 10th June 2011 at the Moscone West convention center in San Francisco. The 5 day conference will showcase the latest innovations and technologies on iOS and Mac OS. There will be in-depth technical sessions and hands-on demonstrations presented by over 1,000 Apple engineers.
"At this year's conference we are going to unveil the future of iOS and Mac OS," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. "If you are an iOS or Mac OS X software developer, this is the event that you do not want to miss."
WWDC will more than likely have Apple launching Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion” and showcasing iOS 5 in preparation for the next generation iPhone. There are no indications that this years WWDC will launch the iPhone 5 and Engadget are hearing rumours that the iPhone 5 will not be launched this year.
